Dear Not-So-Fast friends,
we’re thrilled to present the Not-So-Fast Strava Summer Distance Challenge !
The goal : Run as much distance as possible, regardless of time taken, during the challenge period (July 15 - August 4)
The rules are simple :
1. Join Not-So-Fast Run Club on Strava
2. Register on the NSF club event (Strava main page)
We have some very nice prizes for our winners !
- First place : Pair of Sport Sunglasses from D.Franklin
- Second place : Special Not-So-Fast Merch
- Third Place : 3 x Free Coffee/Drink at our Social Runs
Challenge Period:
- Start Date: July 15
- End Date: August 4
Eligibility:
1. Participants must be members of Not-So-Fast Run Club on Strava.
2. All participants must join the challenge on this (and only this) Strava event.
Activity Guidelines:
1. Qualifying Activity:
- Only running activities will count towards the challenge.
- Other activities such as hiking, walking, cycling, and other exercises will be disregarded.
2. Recording Activities:
- All runs must be recorded and posted on Strava.
- Ensure your Strava profile settings allow your activities to be visible to club members (Privacy settings -> Activities -> Everyone). Note that this is only to help us perform activity validation. You can revert this setting once the challenge period is over
3. Activity Validation:
- Each run must be a distinct activity recorded on Strava.
- Any suspicious activities, such as those with inconsistent GPS data, may be reviewed and potentially disqualified at the discretion of the club organizers.
Distance Calculation:
1. The total distance run by each participant during the challenge period will be tallied.
2. Distances from all qualifying runs will be aggregated to determine the participants' rankings.
Leaderboard and Updates:
1. A leaderboard is maintained on the Strava club page and updated regularly.
2. Participants can check their standings and the total distance covered by other members.
Fair Play:
1. All participants are expected to compete honestly and in the spirit of fair play.
2. Any form of cheating, such as using vehicles to boost distance or falsifying activity data, will result in immediate disqualification from the challenge.
Final Notes:
1. The club organizers reserve the right to modify the rules or make decisions on any matters related to the challenge as necessary.
2. By participating in the challenge, you agree to abide by these rules and any decisions made by the club organizers.
